My first “coat” (dressing gown)
Last night I finished my first #dressedlaveste! ✨I’m a slow sewist so I spent the whole afternoon on it, but I’m quite happy with the final result. I made this version to wear with pyjamas, but I’ll probably wear it around the house every day 😊 (especially as I’m remote working for the next few months)
I wanted it long so I didn’t bother adjusting the pattern for my 157cm like I’d usually need to 😅 I did struggle with the instructions for the collar, so that part isn’t very well finished on this version, but it’s nice enough to wear all day long - it’s so warm and comfortable!
If I make it again I might make the sleeves a bit wider (to fit a thick jersey underneath), the collar a bit bigger, and add some buttons to the front. Maybe even add a lining if I make it as an outside coat – I don’t think that would be too hard if I just made a smaller size in a lining fabric and hemmed it in with the main fabric!
Wearing this jacket today with my ever photobombing dog, black denim #dressedlepantalon jeans, and #dressedlecolmontant (with the #dressedletshirt neckline to change things up a bit). Fancy purple tiedye socks by @you_up_nz!
Thank you @deer_and_doe_patterns for making simple patterns with nice minimalist silhouettes! I really love the patterns from #dressedlelivre and I wear things I made from this book every day 😍
