Friends, I drafted a made-to-measure bra pattern! 🙀

I bought the “Bare Essentials: Bras” ebook on a whim yesterday, thinking it would be a nice written reference for the things I’m learning and hoping to learn about constructing and customizing bras. The custom drafting section intrigued me enough to do a practice run already, even though I’ve only ever drafted a single panties pattern before this 😅

The book is amazing – I just followed the steps (there are a lot), and used the awesome calculator @porcelynnesupplies provides for people like me who don’t want to do the calculations – and the result looks really good on paper to my beginner eyes at least!! Look at thiiiiiis 😆

You start out with circles and rectangles and chop them into pie shapes, then gradually add in curves and make everything fit together. Even though I made this for the too-small wire I had on hand, I’m going to make a toile to see what it’s like. Can’t wait to try again with my new wires!
