More knitting practice: another hat 🧶

I used a leftover ball of alpaca yarn from my novice cardigan for this one. I made this beanie a bit smaller in diameter and a bit longer than the first one, and did my favorite 1x1 twisted rib for the brim. I made the brim long enough to fold over double if I want it to sit above my ears in a fisherman’s style.

I’m still getting used to knitting continental, so my tension is all over the place – but at least my hands aren’t cramping as much as they were on the previous hat. Thank you to all the knitters who responded to my stories about how I can improve (main takeaway: try keeping my index finger much closer to the needle).

I want to wear this one, so I’ll wash and block it later on to get it all smooth and pretty!
