First attempt at a sports bra
My first finished sports bra: the #brassiereathena by @eclipse_lingerie_studio!
This pattern is sized for 80-130cm bust. This first version I’ve made is a fitting bra – I made it from sports Lycra and powernet, with proper elastics and a hook and eye closure. I bought the Lycra from @mondialtissus and all the rest from @bwear.se. I made the smallest size as indicated for my full bust measurements, but as I expected it’s a bit tight so I’ll need to size up the next one. My general body shape is very pear-like, but my upper body is kind of V-shaped…
The bra is compression style (so fabric + elastic choices impact support), is fully lined with enclosed seams, and edges are finished with fold-over elastic. The pattern has options for front or side pockets that I’ll include on my next versions, I think they’ll be handy for holding a locker key or gym card! I didn’t plan on using a hook and eye closure on this one, but I’m glad I did because otherwise it would have been too tight to wear.
It’s a very nice pattern with illustrated instructions, but is in French only. Maybe it will be translated to English one day so non-francophones can make it too 😊
My next one will be black and purple, maybe I’ll start on that this weekend!
