Dog hoodie

I finally made something for my pup: a dog hoodie 🐶

I bought this dog hoodie pattern by @formpatternshop on Etsy. It has nested sizes which were very useful for grading the fit. Instructions are bare but it’s easy enough to make.

My dog is a Boston Terrier and weighs 7-8kg. His measurements put him across multiple sizes – so I started with M and graded down at the cuffs (XS) and belly (S). I could probably go up to an L at the neck next time, as per his measurements, to give his rolls a bit more ease 😄 I used 45x90cm of leftover recycled sweatshirt fleece and about 15cm of organic cotton tubular ribbing.

The thing is already covered in fur because he’s been wearing it since I finished it. Before I got a dog I didn’t even know that some of them really hate the cold – they have fur for goodness sake! But this little guy really wants something warm on in the colder months, and he seems to like this hoodie as much as his favorite RTW one. I got all the doggy kisses for this hahaha.
